350.org es una campaña internacional dedicada a construir un movimiento que una al mundo alrededor de las soluciones necesarias para la crisis climática; las soluciones que la ciencia y la justicia exigen.
Nuestra misión es servir de inspiración al mundo entero y afrontar el desafío de la crisis climática, es decir, crear un nuevo sentido de urgencia y posibilidad.
Nos centramos en el número 350, el nº de partes por millón de CO2 necesario. Si no podemos volver a 350, según los científicos, el daño del cambio climático que ya estamos observando continuará y se acelerará. Sin embargo, 350 es más que un número, es un símbolo de hacia dónde debemos dirigirnos como planeta.
Estamos trabajando mucho para organizarnos de un nuevo modo: todos a la vez. En octubre de 2009 coordinamos 5.200 manifestaciones simultáneas en 181 países, “el día de acción política más grande de la historia del planeta”, según lo definió la CNN. Este mes de octubre, estamos organizando un Día Internacional de Soluciones Climáticas” en todo el mundo. La gente instalará paneles solares, plantará jardines comunitarios y enviará un fuerte mensaje a nuestros líderes: “Si nosotros podemos ponernos manos a la obra y lograr soluciones contra la crisis climáticas, ustedes también pueden”.
Nuestra teoría sobre el cambio es muy sencilla: si un movimiento popular internacional puede hacer que los líderes políticos se responsabilicen y sigan lo que indican los datos científicos más recientes, podremos iniciar el cambio global que tanto necesitamos.
En Barcelona nos reunimos un grupo de unos individuos inquietos y motivados para hacer una diferencia en nuestra vida. Esto queremos hacer a traves de nuestro estilo de vida, es decir vivir mas conciente y sostenible, pero tambien atraves de acciones ludicas y artisticas en la calle y sobre todo a traves de educaion medioambiental en escuelas.
En este blog multicultural y plurilingue puedes enconctrar maneras de participar en acciones en el publico durante el ano y saber mas sobre el cambio climatico y sobre todo como cambiar tu estilo de vida a uno mas sostenible y razonable. APUNTATE y pon manos a la obra!!!

350.org is an international campaign that’s building a movement to unite the world around solutions to the climate crisis–the solutions that science and justice demand.
Our mission is to inspire the world to rise to the challenge of the climate crisis—to create a new sense of urgency and of possibility for our planet.
Our focus is on the number 350–as in parts per million CO2. If we can’t get below that, scientists say, the damage we’re already seeing from global warming will continue and accelerate. But 350 is more than a number–it’s a symbol of where we need to head as a planet.
We work hard to organize in a new way–everywhere at once. In October of 2009 we coordinated 5200 simultaneous rallies and demonstrations in 181 countries, what CNN called the ‘most widespread day of political action in the planet’s history.’ This October we’re organizing a ‘global work party’ all over the world. People will put up solar panels, dig community gardens–and send a strong message to our leaders: ‘If we can get to work on solutions to the climate crisis, so can you.’
Our theory of change is simple: if an international grassroots movement holds our leaders accountable to the latest climate science, we can start the global transformation we so desperately need.
In Barcelona we gatheres as a small group in 2009 with the idea to make a one-time event, since then we haven’t stopped in growing and organizing artistic and ludicrous actions, go to schools for environmental awareness raising and last but not least coordinating actions.
The biggest in 2010 will be a date to remember 10/10/10, Global Work Party!
We’re calling it “A Day to Celebrate Climate Solutions”–together we’ll get to work in our communities on projects that can cut carbon and build the clean energy future.
But we won’t stop there–we’ll be using the day to pressure our leaders to Get To Work themselves by passing strong climate policies promoting clean energy and reducing emissions.
